Member Notice of Vote on Proposed Changes to OSOMS Bylaws and Dues
Dear OSOMS Member,
We hope that you are planning to join your peers at the upcoming OSOMS Annual Meeting on April 21 in Dublin. We have a great line-up of speakers and topics.
During the business meeting luncheon at the Annual Meeting, the OSOMS Board of Trustees will be asking for a membership vote on two important issues...revisions to the OSOMS Bylaws and an increase in membership dues. Active OSOMS Fellows and Members in attendance at the business meeting are eligible to vote.
Proposed changes to the Bylaws may be found by clicking here OSOMS Bylaws Proposed Revisions (PDF). Revisions include clarifying current committee structures and grammatical clean-up.
Also proposed is a dues increase for active members which would make annual dues $250 starting in 2019. OSOMS members have not had a dues increase in over 30 years. In a survey of other state OMS societies, we found that our dues are extremely low. This adjustment aligns us with other similar states and is still well under most. This increase will allow OSOMS to continue to provide you with effective representation, quality educational programs and a strong voice for OMS in Ohio.
