2009 ANNUAL MEETING GUEST SPEAKER

 

DR. MORTON ROSENBERG

 

Dr. Morton Rosenberg graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and then completed an anesthesia residency program at Tufts-England Medical Center where  he was  named Chief Resident. He  immediately joined the full time anesthesia faculty and soon became Director of Anesthesia Clinical Services and Medical Director of Operating Rooms. Dr. Rosenberg is a nationally recognized leader in dental sedation and anesthesia and has published extensively in the medical and dental literature. Dr. Rosenberg has been on the Faculty of Tufts University School of Dental Medicine since 1975 and is currently Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Division Head of Anesthesia and Pain Control and Associate Professor of Anesthesia at Tufts University School of Medicine.  He is also the Senior Anesthetist at Tufts-New England Medical Center Hospitals.

     Dr. Rosenberg has been very active in the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology (ADSA) for nearly 30 years and is currently treasurer.  In 2006, he was awarded the Heidbrink Award from the ADSA and delivered the Joseph Osterloh Lecture as well as receiving the Provost’s Award at Tufts University for Teaching and Service

      Dr. Rosenberg notes his association   with Ohio is his strong friendship of 34 years with Joel Weaver, Ohio State University, and reports they have been dear  friends, collaborators, colleagues, co-conspirators, confessors, rebels, trusted adviser, agitators and old spirited men.  Dr. Rosenberg reports, “My relationship with Joel has  kept me grounded and he has become a touchstone for my professional and personal lives.”
