Member Notice of Changes to OSOMS Bylaws and Dues

Dear OSOMS Member,

At the OSOMS Annual Meeting on April 21 in Dublin, OSOMS members voted to approve proposed changes to the Bylaws as well as a dues increase that will become effective with the 2019 dues billing. 

Changes to the Bylaws may be found by clicking here OSOMS Bylaws Revisions (PDF).  Revisions include clarifying current committee structures and grammatical clean-up.

Members also approved a dues increase for active members which would make annual dues $250 starting in 2019.  OSOMS members have not had a dues increase in over 30 years.  In a survey of other state OMS societies, we found that our dues are extremely low.  This adjustment aligns us with other similar states and is still well under most.  This increase will allow OSOMS to continue to provide you with effective representation, quality educational programs and a strong voice for OMS in Ohio.
