Join colleagues from around the country to advocate for the specialty during AAOMS’s annual Day on the Hill, being held virtually on Wednesday, April 6.

AAOMS’s Day on the Hill provides OMSs the unique opportunity to share with members of Congress how federal legislation impacts their practice and patients. Two preparatory events will be held the evenings of April 4 and 5 to support these visits.

Attendees will advocate on important issues such as: legislation requiring health insurers to cover treatment for congenital craniofacial anomalies, student loan repayment reform, access to oral health, and efforts to address supply and drug shortages stemming from the pandemic.

Preparatory events are being held on April 4 & 5

  • April 4, at 8 p.m. Eastern – Presentation and Q&A with AAOMS federal lobbyists regarding the issues listed above.
  • April 5, at 7 p.m. Eastern – Political analyst Amy Walter will provide an election preview. Attendees also will have the opportunity to prepare for their congressional meetings with colleagues from their state delegation.

There is no cost to participate, and no experience is needed.

Visit AAOMS.org/DayontheHill for more details and a complete schedule of events. Early registration is requested to ensure sufficient time to schedule and coordinate visits.

For general questions about the meeting, including the congressional appointment scheduling process, email dbranch@aaoms.org or call 800-822-6637, ext. 4392.

THANK YOU to every donor who contributed to the Foundation in 2021. With your help, more than $1.3 million was raised last year to support OMS-specific research and education programs. 140 OMSFIRE donors collectively contributed more than $500,000 last year to the Annual Fund, making it possible for the Foundation to offer a $150,000 Clinical Research Support Grant in 2022 - a year ahead of schedule. Not an OMSFIRE donor yet? Enroll today to be recognized at your upcoming OMS Society meeting.

How do those donations create value for you?
